Patrick has had a lifetime career in complex sales and leadership. Commencing with one of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealers, Patrick became the top salesperson and then, as regional sales manager, built the most successful sales team. He went on to repeat that success as regional manager of Ingersoll-Rand and then made a career 'broad-jump' into the IT industry, joining Prime Computer.
Patrick had no IT qualification or experience, yet he achieved target in his first year entirely from new-name accounts. He soon became Sales Manager and then Regional Manager, winning Prime's 'World's Best Business Unit' award in the process. Patrick then joined Oracle and transformed the worst-performing region in Australia into the best. He followed that by achieving similar results for two privately-owned companies. He then formed his own company 'Traxor' to create a CRM system.
Transformation is a consistent theme in Patrick's career. He has four business turnarounds to his credit. In typically hands-on fashion he trained and coached his sales teams personally. All became best in class by a considerable margin, so much so, that Patrick was approached by numerous organizations to train and coach their sales teams. This he did on an informal basis until demand dictated he should codify his methods in a formal training program, which he delivered live and then recently adapted for online delivery as 'The Sales Natural'.
